Richard Trumbull

The painting of Richard Trumbull have been exhibited in Mexico and California in a wide variety of exhibitions and solo shows and are in private collections from Berlin to Mexico City, from New York to San Francisco. Exhibitions include:

Emerging San Diego Artists (Robson Gallery); San Diego Museum of Art: “All California Exhibit”, Masters of the Moment, San Diego County Art Association (with two accepted entries, “Julia Dancing”, an 11inch bronze sculpture, and “Martha”, an oil portrait winning First Prize); Festival of Arts, East County Art Association(oil portrait “Silk” winning Honorable Mention); two solo exhibitions at Warner’s Ranch; six annual San Diego Portrait Society exhibitions (including three award winning portrait entries); Southwestern College gallery; Boehm Gallery; seven exhibitions at Market Street Group; San Diego Art Walk. He has been juried into seven San Diego Art Institute exhibitions.. He is past president of the San Diego Portrait Society, member of the San Diego Artists Guild (San Diego Museum of Art), San Diego Art Institute (Museum of the Living Artist), and a member of the Market Street Painters collective.

Since opening his studio in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, his work has been exhibited in a variety of gallery shows including Pergola Gallery, Teatro Angela Peralta, La Fenestra, Manantial, Bordello Gallery and a month long inaugural solo exhibition at Ambos Gallery in Puerto Vallarta. He currently shows, and is represented by, the prestigious Zoho Gallery in San Miguel de Allende.

His paintings have been featured on the poster art of the San Miguel Chamber Music Festival (2007), San Miguel Jazz and Blues Festival (2008) and San Miguel’s Annual Winter’s Conference (Erica Jong: 2009).

He is one of the featured artists in the excellent 2010 publication, “Art in San Miguel” and the 2016 publication of “Compendio de Creadores Mexicanos, Tomo II”.
