Richard Trumbull has lived, and painted, in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, since 2005. Between 2000 and 2009 his paintings have been juried into a variety of California exhibitions and shows including:

San Diego Museum of Art: All California Exhibit; Masters of the Moment, East County Art Association (two accepted entries: "Julia Dancing", an 11inch bronze sculpture and "Martha", a 20 x 30 oil portrait--winning First Prize); Festival of Arts, East Country Art Association (oil portrait, "Silk", winning Honorable Mention), Emerging San Diego Artists (Robson Gallery); two solo shows at Warner's Ranch; several San Diego Portrait Society shows (including two Honorable Mentions); Southwestern College Gallery; Boehm Gallery, Palomar College; several Market Street Shows; San Diego Art Walk. He has also exhibited in San Miguel de Allende in Guanajuato, Mexico.

Richard Trumbull is married and has three children.
He has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and worked as a psychologist
until he retired from clinical practice in 2001.

He currently lives with his wife, Sylvia in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
